CHANGING PLANET - EXTREME HEAT IN THE USA

Global warming has been affecting the whole planet and we are seeing warmer weathers with extreme heat trends in the USA. According to the National Oceanic  and Atmospheric Administration, 2024 was yet the warmest year on record: "The average annual temperature across the United States reached 55.5°F (13.1°C) in 2024, which was 3.5°F (1.9°C) above the 20th-century average and the warmest year in NOAA's 130-year record at the time."
